As the Moon in Pisces makes a square to the Sun in Sagittarius, we enter the waxing quarter of this lunation, a period Dane Rudhyar described as “crisis in action.” What new ways of thinking have been expanding your view of yourself and the world? What voices or perspectives are you being challenged to consider and assimilate into how you think about what else could become possible? The Moon makes a conjunction to Neptune in Pisces, which is a perfect time from dreaming new dreams, opening to new fantasies, and projecting new speculative realities. Tangible, practical tasks may be more elusive today, so instead, use this time for reflection, meditation, and rest. The Moon then makes sextiles to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, reminding us that whatever we imagine for worlds to come will require discipline, focus, determination, and accessing power that has maybe been repressed within our lives. Audre Lorde writes, “In order to perpetuate itself, every oppression must corrupt or distort those various sources of power within the culture of the oppressed that can provide energy for change.” What sources of power have been repressed, corrupted, distorted, and vilified within the current systems through which we are living our lives? In order to create the kinds of worlds we are dreaming of, we must access those powers and resources that have been hidden and marginalized by white supremacy, hetero-patriarchy, colonization, capitalism, and religious domination. What have you been taught to view as worthless, inferior, or sources of shame—and what if those parts of ourselves are actually the keys to building justice in the days ahead?
