Today is a busy day for the Moon in Virgo as it moves through a square to Mercury in Sagittarius, an opposition to Neptune in Pisces, trines to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, and finally a square to the Sun in Sagittarius, entering the waning quarter phase of this lunation cycle. We may feel overwhelmed by the challenges of putting our hopes and dreams into practice. The worlds that we visit in our dreamtime may feel out of reach or elusive as we engage in the mundane tasks of all the work that needs to be done. What if each project on your to-do list could also be a ritual or spell? How might you invite the sacred into what you are already doing? Remember that you are not doing this work alone: all that you do to bring new worlds into being builds on foundations that were laid by those who came before. As we unearth practices that have been buried and repressed within ourselves, our ancestors, and the earth, we tap into sources of power that are bigger than any one of us. This lunation cycle has been teaching us to open our frames, make new connections, and be willing to think with perspectives and points of view that have most often been marginalized or left out entirely. As we enter this last quarter phase, we must ask: what old ways of thinking or valuing knowledge do we need to surrender or abandon in order to create space for more difference in the collective wisdom that we are cultivating?
