We start the day with the Moon in the first degrees of Sagittarius, co-present with its benefic ruler Jupiter. Optimism, hope, and expansive perspectives set the tone for the day. Mercury applies a trine to Saturn, which is an opportunity to check in with our boundaries and limits. Have you been clear with yourself and others about what is and is not okay? Brené Brown teaches us that the most compassionate people are also the most boundaried; knowing your own limits and communicating them effectively is what will allow you to hold the most generous perspectives of others. It may be that you will find your boundaries being tested as the Moon is overcome by a superior square from Mars. Mars is the planet of severing and separation, and as it overcomes the Moon, we may find our sense of safety and security is challenged. We may even have to step away from a situation that could cause harm. At the very end of the day, the Moon makes a square to the Sun, entering its waxing quarter phase. As we get clear on the lessons that this lunation cycle is teaching us, we may be called to put that learning into action, to take a risk and learn through the doing. There could be growing pains—like a seedling pushing its way through the soil to establish its roots and find the light above—but facing these potential difficulties is a necessary part of the growth cycle.
