Around 1am eastern, the Moon ingresses into Aries where it will reach the peak of its lunation cycle tomorrow. The Moon in Aries can be fiery and impulsive, and we may feel the eruption of needing to take action. These qualities are further amplified as the Moon makes an opposition to its ruler, Mars in Libra. Mars in Libra is teaching us how to struggle together in solidarity. The Moon in Aries reminds us that in collectivity or even in our relationships, we must remain connected to our own drives and desires. Today we may feel the tension or need to balance our commitments to others and to ourselves. In the evening, Venus in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. Venus rules Taurus, the fixed earth sign where Uranus will continue to break up the ground for the next six years. Venus was conjunct Uranus on May 18, 2019, and this opposition is the climax of this cycle. Whatever quakes and tectonic shifts Uranus in Taurus is describing in our lives, today we may be confronted with what radical change might mean for our relationships, for how we practice love and justice, and for how reconcile with others. With Venus in Scorpio, don’t be surprised if these brings up intense emotional resistance as deeply held feelings about what it means to become in relation to others are shaken up. The old patterns may no longer be working, and new patterns of loving must become possible.
