Around midnight eastern, Mars ingresses into Libra. Libra is a sign of detriment or exile for Mars; there could be a strong sense of alienation and struggle, without access to resources Mars requires to bring about its significations—action, courage, severing and separating, charging ahead. Instead, Libra challenges Mars’ tendency toward individualism as the heroic warrior. Libra teaches Mars that there are some fights—even perhaps most fights—that have to be fought together, in solidarity with others. Then later in the pre-dawn hours, the Moon in Sagittarius makes a sextile to Venus in Libra. Ruled by Jupiter and sextile Venus, there is a lot of support for openness and for the emotional body to feel illuminated by the warm, beaming glow of connection. Feel deeply into these resources, because we will need them. By the early afternoon, the Moon will move into Capricorn, the sign of its detriment, and directly into a challenging square from Mars in Libra. The Moon rules the sign of Cancer, and in Capricorn—the opposite sign—it feels exiled from the nourishing waters of safety, sensitivity, and connection. In Capricorn, there’s work to do, plans to be executed, and the progress may feel slow. With reception from Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, navigating these challenging days will ask for all of our patience. Ground into whatever offers you the wisdom of how to endure. Sit with rocks and stones, feel deeply into your bones because those minerals know how to remain for millions of years. A few hours later, the Moon makes a sextile to Mercury in Scorpio, and we may feel the first waves coming up from the depths within, the felt sense that there are deep feelings that need now to be acknowledged and spoken.
