23 August 2019: Sun enters Virgo, Moon enters Gemini, squaring Sun, Venus, and Mars
Just as the Sun enters Virgo, the Moon enters Gemini, forming a square to one another—the waning quarter of the moon phase. Hours after squaring the Sun, the Moon moves through squares to Venus and Mars in the early degrees of Virgo. As the Sun lights up the parts of our charts and lives occupied by Virgo, today the Moon—the luminary associated with the body, our daily rhythms, and the flux of feelings—has a bit of a bumpy ride moving through these squares to the Sun, Venus, and Mars. There could be incongruities between what we think and what we see, what people are saying to us and the material reality we’re witnessing. It might feel challenging to put words to what we value or to describe what we think needs to be done. With all these planets ruled by Mercury in Leo, there could be a simmering heat beneath the surface, so remember to take a breath, drop your weight, and feel into patience as we move through these squares. By nightfall, the Moon will be separating from these aspects, and things will begin to become clear again.
