This guide is intended to provide a forecast of several of the major astrological stories unfolding throughout 2022. My hope is that it can be informative and inspirational, providing you with insights into the celestial context with which we will be moving this year, describing the qualities and dynamics unfolding throughout the year and the kinds of stories they might be telling. For the purpose of this guide, I’m focusing on the sky stories that stand out the most to me—namely, transits from Saturn and its ongoing square with Uranus, aspects between Saturn and Mars, Jupiter’s transits through Pisces and into Aries, Mars’ transits with particular attention to the Mars retrograde in Gemini toward the end of the year, transits from Venus with particular attention to the Venus retrograde in Capricorn at the start of the year as well as periods where Venus is well-supported throughout the year, the Mercury retrograde periods, and some brief comments about the eclipses of 2022. In many places, I have included the words of brilliant feminist writers that shape and inform how I am inviting us to think about these transits—including Grace Lee Boggs, Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick, Judith Butler, adrienne maree brown, Sylvia Rivera, Mariame Kaba, Fannie Lou Hamer, Angela Davis, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, and June Jordan.
